CALL TO ACTION March 17th 2025: The Idaho Senate is voting on H 180 and all amendments This week.
March 17th Update
Dear Fellow Idahoans,
We need your voice one more time! On Friday, March 14, 2025, the Senate State Affairs Committee voted to amend H 180—thanks to your calls and emails. However, these proposed amendments do not fix the bill!
The amended bill is expected to come up for a Senate vote as soon as Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM, but it could happen later this week. We must act now! Contact your Idaho State Senators today and urge them to VOTE NO on H 180 and all amendments.
This bill threatens public health, local control, and broadband integrity by forcing unnecessary and harmful wireless expansion. Please take a moment to call and email your senator today on Monday, March 17.
Take Action NOW:
Email & Call ALL Senators – Tell them to Vote NO on H 180 and ALL amendments!
Sample Email:
Subject: [Your City], ID - Vote NO on H 180 BROADBAND and All Amendments
Dear Senator,
H 180 is a deeply flawed bill that threatens public health, local control, and broadband expansion in our state. This legislation falsely merges hardwired and wireless broadband under the guise of public safety, prioritizing corporate interests over Idaho citizens.
Reasons to Vote NO:
False Public Safety Claims – Merges hardwired and wireless broadband without justification.
Strips Local Control – Takes authority away from Idaho cities and counties.
Widespread Opposition – Opposed by the Idaho Association of Cities, the Association of Counties, and Ada County.
Health Risks – Proven dangers of wireless expansion (large and small cell towers).
Unnecessary Expansion – Idaho already has safe, high-speed, hardwired broadband.
False Emergency Declaration – There is NO broadband emergency.
Please vote NO on H 180 and all amendments to protect the rights and health of Idahoans.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
[Your City, Idaho]
